World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be accomplished by any upgrader for items NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and also add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for caster builds.
Armour
Armour is one of the key things that keeps Link protected from injury in all situations. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can improve its defence capabilities in a variety of ways.
Armour is designed to protect people or animals from injury or harm, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a variety of environmental or activity hazards. Historically, armour was mostly constructed from leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were also used particularly in military applications like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
As with weapons there are a myriad of ways in which armor can be upgraded, but the majority of them require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different degree of improvement and more protection levels requiring more rupees as well as materials.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades, meaning that after they've been put in place, they cannot be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is important that you only apply the highest level of upgrades to your equipment and that you have enough of the necessary materials to complete them.
In terms of acquiring the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in a variety of places around Hyrule such as shrines, shops and even enemies. They are usually marked with the gold circle or blue triangle symbol, and can be found in large numbers as you move through the game. Although they can appear randomly, there is a chance that acquiring certain upgrade components will result in a quest that will reward you with more.
It is also important to note that although the level of protection offered by each upgrade is different however, it's the same for all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. item upgrading is because a full set of upgraded armor will grant you a high defense boost, which will shield you from all types of attacks except magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.
Weapons

If you're looking to make your guns truly unique, you can enhance them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the performance of the weapon to match your build. They also allow new attachments such as unique enchantments, various types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.
You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must also be at or above a certain point for the upgrade to take effect and the majority of weapons can only take one upgrade at one time.
You can find weapons upgrade components scattered throughout the globe and even from the hands of enemies or purchased from vendors. Upgrade components are a mix of components that you can put into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and other items to earn an attribute bonus. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the stats of the base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades can be purchased from enemies in the open or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your best-in slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. If you're planning on playing a melee build, for example, upgrade your weapon, then your shoulders and chest followed by your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on your playstyle, some items will be more beneficial than others. Similar is the case for Armour and reforges, with some having superior performance over others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item at a time. If an upgrade plan is cancelled, any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but they can provide additional benefits.
A magical item is any item that has some special properties or effects. These are typically weapons, but they could also be shields, armors or cloaks as well as potions. They could also be rings, scrolls or other items. Some of these items can be made to speak.
Most magical items can be upgraded so that they are equipped with additional capabilities. This could make them more beneficial to a player or help them to overcome a difficult situation. An infused weapon might provide bonus damage against a particular kind of enemy, for example. This is especially useful for characters who have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster repeatedly in dungeons.
An infused ring might confer immunity to bludgeoning, piercing or slashing injuries from non-magical attacks (not even silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a lengthy rest. This is especially useful for melee fighters or anyone who wants to avoid purchasing a shield.
Some enchanted items have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those on their class's spell list. This can be useful for characters who have trouble maintaining their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based on the amount of Intelligence points spent.
Other enchanted items might allow the player to change their appearance, or create an entirely new one. These are particularly beneficial for those who have to leave their home, or are in a location where they might not be welcome. A magical item could give them the ability to disappear or make them invisible for everyone except the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that do not fit into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons, and provide various capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons they are not a single utility item that is able to be in conflict with another. The majority of utility items have an effect that the player can activate when using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that are triggered when the user presses an action button or activates the ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while they move, and the Jetpack that allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. A variety of utilitarian items can be quickly manufactured in the Engineering section, while others can be unlocked through Research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the regular inventory, players can also obtain additional useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items are upgradeable to make them more effective.
Most utility items increase a specific combat attribute or give the player some sort of advantage in navigation. For example, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman improve Concentration and Healing Power. Other items that are useful can be used by the player to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip one utility item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available after completing certain research, engineering, or experiments on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping an grenade Launcher. This permits players to utilize the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
